TAGAYTAY CITY: The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Department of Health (DOH) are now implementing Phase 2 of the Private Sector Mobilization for Family Health (PRISM 2) Project.

The Project seeks to enhance the capacity of the local market area (provinces, cities, and municipalities) to maximize private sector’s role in the provision of quality health services to more Filipinos nationwide.

Robust and sustainable results can be achieved when the public and private sector are partners in all efforts in meeting the Family Planning /Maternal and Child Health (FP-MCH) needs of the whole community. As they brace themselves in building public and private partnerships for better health outcomes, the Quezon City Inception Workshop was conducted. This is a joint activity spearheaded by the Quezon City Health Department, the Center for Health Development-Metro Manila and PRISM2.

The workshop aimed to describe the current FP/MCH situation in Quezon City and determine how public and private sector stakeholders can work together to address gaps and maximize available resources and potentials for local market’s expansion of FP/MCH information, products and services.

Top managers, owners, supervisors and nurses in different companies in Quezon City were invited to participate in the workshop.
